Affordable Bike subscription on a well maintained non-electric bike, with no commitment to buy. 

The price listed is the weekly price and the minimum period is four weeks.

We have a great range of bikes in various sizes including hard tail mountain bikes, thin-wheeled city bikes or step-thru cruisers. 

Please note this rental is geo-fenced to the Wellington region, but we other options available that can be ridden anywhere in NZ 

How it works

1.    You select your bike from our range

2.    Pick up your bike from our Wellington Waterfront store. We'll provide full instruction and give you a lock, helmet and rear carrier pack

3.    Start commuting by Bike!

4.    Your card will be charged weekly (or which ever frequency you prefer)

5.    When you'd like to return the bike, just let us know a week in advance.

FAQs

What happens if the bike is stolen?

If that happens, let us know as soon as possible so we can do what we can to help. Our theft insurance is included, but it doesn’t cover damage.  The excess you need to pay if stolen is $250.  There are some conditions, in particular, the bike is locked with the lock that we give you and is kept inside locked overnight. 

I want to swap my bike for a different now one is that ok?

Yes, it is. Each rider can swap once for free, and after that for $50 each swap. We usually need to do some preparation to swap a bike, so give us a call to arrange it beforehand. If you’ve already swapped once and would like to swap again but aren’t sure if you’ll like the new bike, you can do a free test ride before committing.

Flat tire, or some other issue, and I'm stuck on the side of the road. What do I do?

Firstly, we make sure all our bikes have great tires for this exact reason. It makes punctures rare. Secondly, don’t panic. Give us a call. If you’re in Wellington City or Lower Hutt- and you can’t get the bike to our workshop- we can come to do a mobile repair, usually we can be there the same day. If you’re on the road and can’t move the bike, call us to troubleshoot.  If it can't be fixed over the phone, you can lock the bike up and we’ll collect the bike as soon as we’re able. This isn’t a 24hr service, but please still contact us out of hours because if we can help straight away we will.
